"YOUR PERCEPTION OF PUBLIC TRUST"

I have been busy doing my homework and I am asking my blogging audience your perception as it relates to PUBLIC TRUST in an election year? We can be of any party affiliation but when it comes down to the victory of an election the PEOPLE have the POWER to make the decision who will be elected to office, when they pull that lever in November. How does the voting public accept the decisions of the governing body serving their party affiliation? Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, Conservative, NOP, or Working Family Party member, the public looks up to their LEADERS who are making decisions that will affect them as a citizen. It is up to us, the party affiliation members to gain the Public Trust by the decisions we make that can affect our form of government for years to come. We have a responsibility to earn the Public Trust. Depending on who is wielding the power of self interest groups in an election year let us not lose sight of the PUBLIC TRUST and the responsibility we have to the people as elected officials. The public vote decides the fate of our Nation, State, County and City.

Hello Kingston

Well I have been away for awhile that is Twittering and Face Booking but always keeping my eye on the prize that is. We have many wonderful events coming up in our community to say the least. I attended a fundraiser last evening a Fred's Place for Senator John Bonacic. I must say the evening was an affair to remember and many dignitaries were out on the town to celebrate this occasion. Then I dashed over to the Kingston City School District Candidates Night at the Miller Middle School. Many of the questions asked by the audience were well directed and answered by the four candidates running for positions on the Kingston City School Board. I urge everyone to exercise their right to vote and come out next Tuesday May 19, 2009 and vote. Also as a Republican Committee Member in the City of Kingston and the former Republican Chairman I urge everyone to recognize the importance of this election year 2009. The summer will be filled with candidate fundraisers and this is your chance to become apart of the solution and become involved in your community. I have also been attending the Ulster County Legislature Meetings and I must say that I have been educated and impressed.
So much to do and not enough time. See you out and about over the next several months making a difference in your community.

I am reaching out to my Republican/Conservative Constituents and all the Citizens in the City of Kingston and County of Ulster to better understand what is your platform during the next governmental election in the City of Kingston and Ulster County in 2009? Where is "THE FIRE IN YOUR BELLY" attitude to take this election by storm. We need to hear from you. Are you considering the possibility of running for Alderman or Legislator? Do you feel you have the time, energy and motivation to win? Are you ready for the challenge? Do you have the leadership skills and funding to make this happen?

One of my goals, when I served as the Republican Chairman in the City of Kingston, was to develop a unified effort in making the people realize they had the power to make change. We can create this machine of opportunity and the time is now.

Where are our LEADERS? Where is the noise and your willingness to serve?

The POWER OF THE PEOPLE is a powerful machine and "We the People" have the ability to make change.

'SPRING HAS SPRUNG"

Well I return to many county and city issues that I have been reading in the local papers and surfing on the local blogs. Despite many differences, I feel we continue to blossom in the great City of Kingston. Do we need reform and a change in direction, ABSOLUTELY. Can we get there by working together to attain our goals as citizens and politicians. ABSOLUTELY. Will we get there if we learn to focus our energy on the issues and LEAD BY EXAMPLE ABSOLUTELY. This will be an exciting year and I can feel the energy, motivation and a willingness of the people to step up to the plate and make a difference is alive and well. GO KINGSTON!!!

Several weeks ago I posted on my blog the need for citizens to make a commitment and consider running for the Kingston City School Board. The time is now for concerned citizens to step up or step aside. The clock is ticking and time is running out. Please set aside some time and consider taking the challenge and run for the Kingston City School Board. You can make a difference. This weekend Saturday April 18, 2009 will mark the 13th, Annual Kids Classic in the City of Kingston. BRAVO to Mr. Dan Bigelow who was the original founder of the Kids Classic in 1996. Mr. Bigelow was the Principal of the J.W. Bailey Middle School at that time and I had the privilege of working with him that year serving as a parent volunteer for the PTA. His dream is a living testimony to him today and all of the children that he influenced as a LEADER and EDUCATOR for over thirty years in the Kingston City School District. Good Luck to all of the KIDS this Saturday that will be participating. I will be there to cheer you on!!!!!!!!! KUDOS now to the YMCA KIDS CLASSIC.

The KICK OFF on Sunday April 26, 2009 will mark the celebration of the 28th Kingston Classic 10K Race in the City of Kingston. This is a wonderful day to bring people together and prove to yourself you can do this. I have run this race for many years with friends and family. I look forward to seeing you there!!!!!

Dear Citizens of Kingston:

I feel I have a professional obligation and a responsibility to inform my public regarding my service to you as the Republican City Chairman in the City of Kingston from February 2006 until January 2009. I announced on my blog several weeks ago that I would keep the public updated and I have honored that commitment in my announcement today. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you and I look forward working with all of you in the future.

In response to the Kingston Times article on March 19, 2009 "He's the boss" I offer this statement. The article states, that current Chairman brushed aside complaints made by former committee boss Jean Jacobs that her ouster violated party by-laws. My ouster absolutely did violate the party by-laws and if you are a true leader who combines high ethics with a genuine concern for others, personal competence, and fairness in the exercise of power, you will inspire trust and realize that actions like this can only hurt society. As leaders, we know that personal ethics are the foundation of our relationship to the rest of society. We all need hero's and people with high ideals to inspire us.

I can assure you that I will continue to pursue my quest in determining my rights in this issue. Ladies and Gentlemen it is not about 'Who's The Boss' it is about working for the citizens of the City of Kingston. Each of us has a personal responsibility for ethical behavior and a sincere respect for each other. Lack of respect for each other creates a divide that will create a negative power within any establishment.

During my term as the Republican City Committee Chairman I made many wonderful acquaintances and worked with so many wonderful people, many Republican Leaders, Committeemen and above all the citizens of the City of Kingston. I knocked on many a door and I was always welcomed with such a warm sense of hospitality. We serve in these positions to make the world a better place and we inspire our children to realize the importance of giving back to their community when they grow up and become parents.

Please be advised that the Ulster County Lawyer for the Republican Party, someone I never met took control of my position and based a decision of my removal on an opinion. I can assure each and everyone of you that their are rules and regulations that govern and protect the position of a Party Chairman. I will keep my public informed with the truth as it relates to this issue but more importantly I ask each and everyone of you to become involved in your community. For over thirty five years I have served my community in many areas of public service. It is time for new leadership, and a new direction by restoring hope to the people. I have a wealth of knowledge over my years of public service which will serve as an asset in determining the future of our fine city.

Preserve our Heritage by Working Together to Improve our Community.

SHAMROCK RUN A FAMILY AFFAIR

The day was next to perfect and the Annual Shamrock Run and Parade was a celebration to remember. I must extend KUDOS to Mr. Robert Ryan and TEAM for organizing a race that went off without a problem. This takes stellar leadership and dedication to our community. For many years I have always run the race with my four children Robin, Daniel, Jared and Jessica but today I ran solo. I was number 3147 when I registered today at 11:30 AM. I was so impressed with our youth and their energy at the race today. Many of the area schools had teams that ran in the race. Edson Elementary School and Miller Middle School won trophies. The gentleman that won the trip to Ireland had number 3145 and my number was just two numbers higher. Oh well there is always next year and the thrill of the day will remain with me for many weeks to come. See you all at the Annual Classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!
