"LEAD BY EXAMPLE"
To all of my valued viewers, I respectfully report to you today, that I remain the Chairman of the Republican Party in the City of Kingston. I feel it is critically important to report the truth to the public. Respect for your governmental officials is built on loyalty and trust in their leadership. As your Republican Chairman in the City of Kingston, I offer you these qualities and will continue to serve you throughout the 2009 election year. I thank you for your confidence and support in my leadership. If you have any questions, suggestions, or recommendations of how together we can move our city forward, please feel free to send me your comments.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Jean C. Jacobs
Republican Chairman
City of Kingston

Jean, I hear from many people in your party that they want you out. As Chair of your City party, can you tell your listening audience what your plan is for the next year and how you plan to accomplish it?

In response to Joe Franks question I offer my response. A position of power is ony attained when you involve the people. Giving the people a voice will allow them to have a sense of accomplishment and become apart of the process. My plan can only be accomplished if the people agreee to be apart of the process and the solution. So often people are reluctant to get involved. Why? An open door policy will set the stage for the invitation and they will realize the importance of their contribution in making a difference.
"Stay tuned for OUR Plan for the next year and how I look forward to working with you to accomplish it as the Republican Chairman in th City of Kingston".

Stay tuned? The new year has started and sharing details of rebuilding the city party is of the utmost importance.
I have been listening to you claim to be chair. I have listened to Rich Cahill say you are not chair. I have spoken with committeemen who say you are not Chair.
Frankly, I do not know who the chair is. I do have one question for you.
Why would you try to force yourself on a committee that clearly does not want you? Can you please answer this question? Why??
I will keep posting this question until you have the guts to answer it.

My response to Anonymous 12:51 PM:
I will confirm your one question. I am the Chairman of the Republican Party, City of Kingston. To confirm your doubts I suggest you present this question to the Chairman of the Ulster County Republican Party. He will confirm that I am the Republican Chairman of the City of Kingston.
In response to your question until I have the guts to answer this.
Well as a Leader my response to you is, I have the COURAGE to answer this question. I am the Chairman of the Republican Party in the City of Kingston.
Jean Jacobs
You did not answer my question.
WHY are you trying to force yourself on a committee that does not want you? Do you just want the title?
If the committee does not want you, why are you fighting them?
I asked at the county level. I was told someone named Bruce is the Acting Chair.

In response once again to your question: I am the Chairman of the Republican Party, City of Kingston. Some man named Bruce is not the acting chair. It is not about "TITLE" it is about putting your nose to the grind stone, rolling up your sleeves and getting the work accomplished. So often people want to hold a title but are they prepared to do the work? Why don't you ask this question??
Jean,
Whether current Chair of the Republican Party (what I have believed to be the case) or no (I don't understand this situation fully) - I'm still looking forward to YOU saying a few words (each speaker will have approximate 5-10 minutes) at tonight's Muddy Cup Inaguration Party. This party is about all of us coming together to celebrate the incoming Obama-Biden administration - to ecourage bipartisanship - and to encourge community involvement / participation... (You can speak on any or all of this).
It is also about celebrating OURSELVES (a vital component too) and having some (much needed for some of us) fun!
Thank You,
Nancy
To 10:16 AM--It may be in Chair Jacob's best interest to rebuild the City Committee with people who actually believe in the committee and are willing to put themselves on the line. That requires WORK. You know the roll up the sleeve kind of stepping into the ring kind of thing. Movers and shakers.
To 12:51 PM--With all due respect, Cahill is not the spokesperson for the City Committee and should not be offering opinions. He may have been the "go to" person when he was Chair of the City Committee or Minority Leader on Common Council, but he is not in either of these titles anymore.
To 9:01 PM--The members of the committee voted for Chair Jacobs and had faith in her abilities to move the committee forward. Now, is it fair that this same group has a change in heart? What or who changed the mood? It sounds more personal than anything else. It is not the entire committee that offered assistance during the recent elections. So, where were they? A solution to all this would be to work hard for the common goal the committee should be striving for--to help get our Republican candidates elected. Stop this childish behavior and put it to rest once and for all. However, it appears a certain few have their own personal agendas and are making up their own rules as they go along. This is shameful.
Jean..Have posted this here to let your followers know that if justice is served, you remain the City Chair inspite of what is commented elsewhere. Oh, happy day!!..The City Republican Committee once again under the leadership of Anthony Sinagra who was a candidate for alderman seat in 2005 and tried to sneak Conservative petitions through with the help of Richard T. Cahill, Jr who actually did not personally witness signatures. And Bruce McLean who in 2003 criticizes a local non-profit of not paying their taxes, when what do you know? Mr. McLean doesn’t pay his taxes on time either. Talk about calling the kettle black. Oh, his excuse was he forgot. Whoops!! All big NO-NOS. These are the very people who think they are leaders who will take credit for moving the City forward? Respectable, dignified and ingenuous? You must be kidding. We are doomed. I am horrified that they would allow such a thing to happen to such a compassionate and sincere person. This does not set the tone for the future of the community.
